Summertime – White Linen Nights

white out

When one thinks about summer, ice cream, swimming and wearing white comes to mind!  White Linen Night is an event that originated in New Orleans, Louisiana as a means for local artists to attract potential buyers into their galleries. They revived the old summertime white linen tradition which then spread all over the country.  It also is associated with summertime food and drinks.

This month, we’ll be featuring different looks around white linen nights so wherever you live, you can sport these finds!  And for those of you who live in Austin- Please join us for 2nd Street District’s Annual White Linen Night on August 6th! The ticketed block party will feature bites from some of Austin’s favorite restaurants in the 2ND Street District and beyond, as well pairings from Texas wineries and breweries. This year, the beneficiary is the Sustainable Food Center, who’s mission is to cultivate a healthy community by strengthening the local food system and improving access to nutritious and affordable food.

Sikara is excited to be a part of this night of food, drinks and fun!  Stay tuned to see what we have up our white sleeves.
