A Day of Discovery

On October 12, 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue and found himself in the Americas. Today, better known as Columbus Day, we celebrate discovery and patriotism all over the country! Boston: In Boston, Columbus Day is an official 3-day weekend filled with fun! If you’re in the area be sure to go to the Columbus Day Parade through the North End, the Cranberry Harvest Festival, and of course take out those wallets for some of the year’s best sales! You can even get in a workout with the Annual TUFTS 10K Columbus Day Race!

San Francisco: You’re more than lucky if you’re in San Fran for Columbus Day. Experience the nation’s oldest and best Italian Heritage Columbus Day Parade with music, food, and even some famous faces! The Italian restaurants along Columbus Ave. will no doubt be packed so make sure you make a reservation! SF also has a tradition of hosting a big block party and wine tasting with live music, wine, and beer all day long!
